I am very happy with this pickup. I have several bags for my bike, but a backpack was not one of them. I take regular 6-8 hour rides to visit family. I stop multiple times to stretch but never venture far from my bike because i'm afraid things will go missing. I usually travel with a 30L tail bag that could easily be taken, but is also a bit of a pain to get into if I want something. This backpack is pretty good solution. I can keep my valuables on my me while also keeping things accessible that I may want on my journey. There is a spot for a reasonably sized laptop or tablet. There are three separate large compartments, various pockets to tuck things into, a zippered mesh compartment, and two pockets on the side. The side pockets were a bit disappointing. I wish the zippers were on the body side. They fit a 16.9oz water bottle perfectly, and i hoped I'd be able to get to them without loosening the pack, but no, not even barehanded. They do offer the space and comparability to add a water bladder if you want, that just seems a little overkill for my needs. The pack is quite comfortable. It took some adjusting, but I got it to sit in a nice position and stay there without much trouble. It holds a decent amount of stuff. I'm a light packer. I could get away with this for a two day trip and that's with a pair of size 13 sneakers taking up a big portion of the main compartment. I am in south Florida though, so my clothes are all pretty thin and light. It is hot down here for a good part of the year. The pack definitely adds to that challenge. I think any pack would, so this isn't really a knock on this one specifically, just something to consider. The padding on the back side of the pack is nice and soft. Is is mesh and it has some grooves in it for breathability. It is comfy, but I could definitely tell I wasn't getting the airflow that i am used to with or without my jacket on. In the not hot as heck months i would consider this a good option for me.The quality seems high. Zippers function smoothly. Seems all look good. The layout of the pockets is nice and makes packing easy. The 3 "main" areas are basically one of the top of the other, getting progressively thinner. It works well, rather than having one huge area to dump everything into. I did not test it in the rain, but I do ride in the rain and will not buy gear that doesn't offer protection, so that checks another box.Overall, a very nice pack.
