I just received this bag and it looks sturdy, although a little stiff. But leather usually softens as you use it. My only complaint is whatever metal is used for the hardware used in the strap adjustment area left a dark stain on the leather. As long as you don’t need to adjust the straps, it’s not an issue. I hope the manufacturer will change this feature.This is attractive, nicely made and holds a lot. I like how it is designed to help me organize things but the saddle color was not as pictured. It was much lighter and that light of a shade is not what I was thinking I was ordering and think that light a shade shows scratches more readily than other darker colors. In the photo on line it looks almost brownish red which I like. I also found that once I put things in the compartments, the purse puffed out and did not look as attractive as when nothing or very little was in it. This is a lovely leather purse and I think lots of people would be happy with it but I needed to return it due to those issues for me.Perfect. I had a Piel leather backpack years ago that I loved and have not been able to find another one identical. This one seemed close in size so I decided to go for it. And I love it. The leather is softening up nicely and I love the design. The interior compartment is very roomy and the two outside zipper pockets are very handy. One of them has slits for your credit cards and cash, so no need for a wallet. I do not normally review, but this item is worth sharing.I bought one of these bags several years ago for European travel and I loved it. It was a workhorse of a bag, held everything I needed for sightseeing, the pockets were convenient, and it was attractive to boot. After many years of use and abuse and many miles covered, I reluctantly decided to replace it. Since it worked so well all of those years, I decided to purchase the identical bag. On our first trip, on only its third (3rd) day of usage, one of the straps broke. The strap ripped out where it was sewn into the main body of the bag. While we were on our trip, my husband sewed it back on and it lasted for the rest of the trip. Upon our return I took it to be properly sewn/repaired and it will cost me $25.00 for that privilege. After spending $90+ on a bag, I expected it to have lasted longer than three days. I'm not sure I'd buy another Piel bag.5 Stars!!! Beautiful and high quality. This backpack serves well as a sling bag plus a backpack, with plenty of room for storage. I highly recommend this style backpack if you are looking for a one that is feminine as well as practical. Piel leather bags are very well made. I have received many compliments on this bag, and most people gush at the size inside plus all the compartments.Nice purse. It has lots of room, great pockets on the outside but it's straps are put on the wrong side and make it uncomfortable to carry. 5 star otherwise.
