This very well written history of WWI came out during the TET Offensive of the Viet Nam war. Americans were war weary and unsentimental about prior wars even just and American military successes. It really filled in a huge void for me because I knew so little about WWI and this filled the bill so well. I really liked this book and recommend it. I am so glad I found it.
