Finally, a backpack truly designed for a woman's body! I used to backpack a lot more than I do now, but that has to do with my temporary living condition (Midwest for a few more years then back to the greater Seattle area). I packed this Osprey Archeon for a long day hike and hit the trail. Typically, after a few hours my back starts complaining and more and more rest stops are required. With this Osprey I was able to hike longer and take fewer rests because my back never hurt. The lumbar support this pack has is perfectly aligned with my back which keeps the pack and its contents from shifting as much as with previous packs I've had (all were pricey name brands purchased from REI and similar stores).Pros:Made from recycled materialsLightweight yet very sturdyAwesome back support for a woman's back and bodyLots of adjustment straps to get it just rightPadded shoulder strapsHuge interior drawstring compartmentTwo exterior side pocketsWaterproof rain cover with a tiny air vent to reduce condensation - stored in its own compartmentSeveral loops for carabining items to the exterior of the packZipper pulls have grips which are easy to use even when wearing glovesZippered exterior top lid is divided into two pouchesMesh zippered pocket inside top lid with a bright red loop and clip for the car keysExterior straps have S hooks for easier operation yet do not come undone due to the severe curve of the SFree lifetime repair or replacementCons:Neither exterior side pocket is elasticisedThis is my first experience owning an Osprey backpack and I am thoroughly impressed. I received this prior to a family vacation to Thailand which we fully planned to complete by backpack and forgo traditional luggage. This particular backpack was used by my 11-year-old daughter and neatly held 3 weeks worth of clothing, shoes, swimwear, toiletries, etc. My daughter is an average sized child and very comfortably carried it independently and, sometimes, for great lengths of time. The adjustability, comfort, and customization abilities of this backpack are outstanding. It is worth every penny and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it or purchase it again. I also have this backpack in the larger (Archeon 65) size and my review of that particular model is on par with this one.On a side note, for those intending to utilize this for travel by airplane, we had no trouble carrying the Archeon 30 on board, but the Archeon 65 required being checked most of the time. It was dependent on airline, size of aircraft, and capacity of passengers, but going forward, I just wouldn't bother with attempting to carry on with this one.
