Love this beautifully designed backpack, perfect for my star-gazing, space obsessed daughter. So many pockets (helps with organization!), plus it is both lightweight and sturdy - easy for my daughter to carry. It also works well as a travel backpack - easy to keep under the airplane seat. Worth the price!!This is exactly what I need for traveling when I don't need a suitcase. If I'm staying somewhere overnight, I'll just use this. I love that it has a pocket on the side for water bottles (although it's a pain to reach without taking the backpack off while walking). I use this to carry pretty much anything. And it lasts a long time.WORD OF ADVICE THO: The reason I gave this four stars is because of the flaps over the zippers. Anytime you're gonna zip, flip the flaps the other way. Then it won't get caught in the zipper. This bag has been great! I use this as a car/truck bag. It usually, has a set of clothes, first aid kit, flashlight, pens, notepad.and other things you can think of to put in an emergency bag. With room to spare since it has 2 large main compartments and 2 smaller ones up front. Lots of storage. I've also used it as a weekend travel bag. Its been my carry-on when i visit family in California. I've packed 2-4 sets of clothes depending on the weather. The front pockets great for chargers and cords powerbanks and earbuds and glasses. I would put toiletries in a pouch and pack it in one of the main compartments. It's made of a nylon material that does provide some water resistance. So, a few drops from your drink or a light sprinkle of rain, you'll be ok for a short time. Enough to wipe down or get to some place dry. As for durability, it's held up pretty well in the couple years I've had it. As states earlier, it is made of a nylon material. It's been dragged in and out of my cars numerous times. And thrown up in to the airplane bins several times as well. Only one thread has exposed itself at the grab handle. I've had other Jansport packs over the years and they've all been very good. Overall, I'm happy with it and would recommend. ThanksI’m using this as a diaper bag backpack. I know there are actual diaper bag backpacks out there, but at least the one we were gifted was slightly too small and had poorly placed and poorly designed pockets. I’ve only used this bag for a few hours so far and already know that I like it better than the actual diaper bag we had. I simply purchased a portable changing pad and wipes box for this, as well as some plastic zippered pouches to organize some of the smaller pieces we need. If you’re bottle feeding, of course, you’ll also need a bottle thermos pouch, but we have a bunch of those lying around, including one we received for free from the hospital. I love that there’s a water bottle pocket—my other diaper backpack didn’t have that, and I ended up using valuable room inside to bring one along. The roominess of the larger pockets means that I can dedicate one to diapering items and the other one to feeding and clothing items. I love that the big pockets mean we can store more when our baby is in the toddler stage and needs solid food snacks, wants more toys/books when we’re out, and has bigger clothes—I know they will all fit in this bag! The smallest pocket on the front is where I keep my wallet and car keys, and a few other small bits for me so I don’t also have to bring my purse. The other small pockets are dedicated to first aid items, and just one small toy and a pacifier right now since our baby is still really little and doesn’t need much in the way of toys yet. I also love that this can continue to be used as a school backpack when our baby is older. Even though I’m using it unconventionally, I highly recommend this as a diaper bag!Purchased for my 14 year old 6’2 son he needed a large enough and strong backpack and this was perfect fit, strong enough for his books and extra gym closes!!My child has been using this $80 backpack for a whopping 1 week of 6th grade and it’s already falling apart. I bought this thinking it would last through middle school because Jansport has a good reputation for being durable. The part that’s breaking down isn’t even somewhere that is getting stretched or getting much use, although it wouldn’t matter if it was. A backpack shouldn’t be falling apart after a week of use by anyone for any reason. I’m really disappointed. The backpack is big and has a lot of storage space with a cute print. It does have a laptop section that is separate from the main part of the backpack which is nice. Overall it’s not bad but it’s clearly not going to hold up for the next 3 years since the seams are already coming unraveled after a week. This is a nice backpack. My daughter wanted the rose print and they only had the smaller size on Jansport’s website. I found it on amazon in the big student size. It is great, as expected. A nice size for elementary school to fit snow pants as well as a lunchbox and extra shoes in winter. My son got the Alien print in this size direct from Jansport and in the end my daughter did get the smaller version with roses. We kept the big sized rose one too though. She can use the small one in fall and spring and the larger during the winter when she has a lot more to carry. For older kids this may be almost to big. My daughter does not consider it fashionable to carry a huge backpack and I’m sure she won’t carry a big one once she gets to junior high and doesn’t need snow pants. I think the big student is a good size though and honestly my daughter’s Landsend tech pack from last year is actually larger, too large really. The Jandport has great prints, strong material. The zippers do get caught on the zipper flaps some but that can be avoided by folding those up. My one complaint is there’s no label inside to write name. With the fun prints I’d say it will probably be hard to get these bags mixed up with others though so that’s good!Perfect for school. Looks big, but by the time books, lunches etc are in, there's just the right amount of space. Appears to be well made and of good qualityHopefully you can see the attached photos which speak for themselves. The bag was less than two months old when they were taken.I have previously owned the same bag, but this recent purchase does not seem to be of the same quality. The stitching has come undone and one of the zips to the main compartment keeps breaking.I have owned several JanSport bags in the past, but won't be purchasing one again.Very good strong bag, with lots of pockets, including a side pocket for a drink bottle. We had our previous one for 4 years and it has only just started to fall apart. It is my sons school bag, to takes quite a battering. I would recommend this as a strong hardwearing bag to carry round heavy books in.ComfortableThe bag is fine, it's just a bag after all, but it could be better. Mainly due to the zips, the zips catch in the material unless you are very careful in your zipping and unzipping - and it is enough to create some annoyance with the bag.Otherwise fine!
