Dorthia love to go with my son every where she is his service animal she has disability and struggles to walk so this is perfect she gets to enjoy going places and is enjoying college life. The backpack is alright for carrying cats. It's professionally made and seems sturdy enough. The replacable dome/vent seems a little flimsy, like it could break over time, but it's been okay so far for me.My biggest problem, though, is that its advertised as being for "larger" cats --- and that's straight up not the case.I've had some pretty large domesticated shorthairs over the years, including one that I was hoping to use this bag for. And this bag is WAY too small. The top flap of the bag doesn't even close over my cats head unless he ducks down into the bag. My cat is about 15 pounds, and while he isn't fat, he has a large overall frame. He's not the first cat I've had at his size either, so it's not a rarity. This bag is probably better for smaller to medium sized cats, if you actually want to give them room to feel comfortable inside of the bag. I have another cat in that range who does fit well in the bag --- but she doesn't actually want to go outside, so meh.Essentially, this bag has been a bust for me. It's alright for the purpose of carrying cats, but if you have an actually big cat, I'd avoid this. The build quality is great, and is by far the nicest cat backpack I've used across 4 in that regard. It's comfortable to wear and feels sturdy, unlike many others.I picked this one up as I liked the idea of keeping the top open for my cat to peek out, as advertised. Unfortunately, the placement of the internal leash can make this potentially more dangerous than expected if your cat is liable to trying jumping out.The leash is placed at the top of the backpack, rather than the bottom. It's also stretchy, rather than an adjustable length. As you can see in the picture, the top leash is long enough for a harnessed cat to completely leave the backpack and dangle, which my cat did on his first "open-top" trip around the house. Luckily I caught him quickly. If the leash were an adjustable length and attached to the bottom I'd be in love with this thing, but unfortunately the open top feature was the main reason for my purchase. I'm sure if my cat was more used to the idea of a backpack he would be less likely to try jumping, but until then keeping the top open is a no go.This is also my second one, with the first needing to be replaced. The snap which keeps the top mesh open was too tight and couldn't be separated by hand. I contacted their customer support email, and they emailed back quickly asking for pictures. I sent the pictures and didnt hear back for a week. I sent another email a week ago and still hadn't heard back. Amazon got more in stock, so I just did the return through Amazon.UPDATE: Unfortunately the zipper on the second one has already proved unusable, as you can see in the picture above. I'm pretty saddened by this, as it's the most study feeling pet backpack I've tried so far, but I've either gotten extremely unlucky with the smaller features being unusable, or this is just a tendency with these backpacks. Had to knock it down a star and return it.Their Instagram page actually reached out to me, and they asked me to order my next backpack directly through their site so that they may inspect the backpack in full before shipping it out. This was incredibly nice knowing their customer support can be so accommodating. This interaction far exceeded the results of the first, and I'm extremely thankful for that.I have a 15 lb Ragdoll cat and this is the only backpack he has fit in. It’s still not perfect though. Ideally he should be able to look out through the domed parts but the depth of the bag doesn’t really allow him to do so for long periods so he ends up sitting sideways and looking out through the mesh sides. I understand increasing the depth would also push the center of gravity further away from the body but that could have possibly been corrected with abound one wears around the hips or even sturdier shoulder straps. And because it’s also not quite wide enough he can’t just lay down while I’m carrying him either - he has to basically be somewhat standing up.The material on the bottom is like a white soft microfiber or some thing. I wish this was something made out of cotton and removable to wash as it will get dirty. The build quality is quite nice. I just wish there were other options with color and/patterns as gray and black is quite dull.I’m not sure I could put a 25 pound cat in here as it’s cozy enough for a 15 pound cat - unless the top part is left open and they were just sticking their head out most of the time . I think 20 pounds would be the limit.Gorgeous aqua colour, some added fun with the plastic bubble, and all in all a great cat carrier.I've had this backpack for 2 years.I tried using the mesh insert for the front but my cat got the whole thing spinning and it popped right off the front, so I only use the bubble. It's not very comfortable to carry and the back and sides tend to collapse inward, so the poor cat is squished inside unless I hold the bottom edge while it is on my back. It would work a lot better if it had a reinforced back and a waist strap to keep the bottom from collapsing while it's being worn. I store it fully assembled (not folded up) and my cat is less than 10 pounds so there's no reason the back and sides should be collapsing like that. Overall, really disappointed since I don't even use it all that often. The only thing I would change in this is to have a strap to roll the top up when you keep it open. I currently use a safety pin to secure it. Otherwise the top just flaps open and you can’t tuck it behind the backpack because then you can’t access the straps. Otherwise it’s perfect for taking your car with you! People make comments all the time about the pack. Great item!
