After searching and searching for a leather backpack that looked like what I wanted but didnt cost an enormous amount of money, I purchased this one. When it arrived, I was so glad I picked this one. I have had it for almost 2 years and it is still beautiful. It has held up so well despite being used constantly. I get lots of compliments on it. It is a deep rich burgundy color. I waterproofed it as soon as i received it and have been in the rain with it and still looks like the day I got it. I have to say the quality is superb and it feels and looks so much more expensive than what it cost. If you are looking for a quality backpack, look no further this is it.I have had this bag for almost a year and use it everyday for work. It still looks beautiful. I pack a lot of items in this backpack, from shoes to tablets to notepads and its sturdy enough to pack it all in. The bag has a zipper option to expand it wider. The only downside I've found - I am petite and had to punch additional holes in the straps to make it fit more comfortably, but otherwise I really love this backpack.This is the 3 Piel backpack I owned. The quality if incredible and the leather is beautiful and exceeds expectations.Each pack lasted me for the better part of 6-years... and even after years of HEAVY USE, it still looked relatively new.As they say... You get what you pay for. Perhaps a bit more expensive, but the years of use make the purchase well-worth while.I would give a 5-Star Rating to all Piel merchandise as you can see the quality put into the end product.Thank you Piel...Terry D.Best pack I have ever owned. The expandable feature is perfect when needed, but easy to restore to smaller'footprint' when carrying less. Also, well stitched, and attractive, and acquires a patina with use that makesit all the more beautiful.Absolutely Stunning! This is a perfect bag for any need / requirement. It has more than adequate space for books, lunch, & other gear you may need for work or school. Everything but the kitchen sink. The luxurious leather is second to none, with outstanding craftsmanship, strength & durability. The expandable zipper allows for additional books or other goods you may need for your day. This bag is an absolute must for students or working people.I was upgrading from a worn out, nylon college style backpack and found this one to be a great choice. The expandable main compartment really opens up to accommodate the extra stuff you bring with you when travelling. Unlike many backpacks this size, it four (4) extra pockets for chargers, calculators and Rubik's cubes.I was impressed with the attention to detail around the heavy duty rivets that secure the hang-loop to the main bag.High quality throughout without being heavily over engineered like some bags are.This is a well made, soft leather pack. The straps are good and padded. It has a lot of room and could easily hold a large laptop. There is no padding. The lining inside is securely fastened down and zippers work smoothly. Double zippers would be nice.Really, I was hoping for this to be more purse sized, but it is definitely a backpack. I kept it because it is so well made and beautiful as well as a great size for work.Best mens pack back ever!!! This is the second one, the other one was used to travel all over the world and lasted about 10 years before it started looking worn out.
